Re-Thinking The Portfolio; A Modular Approach

Most artists think of a portfolio as one fixed thing—a PDF, a website, or maybe a printed book that summarizes their work in a single document. But what if we reimagined the portfolio as a system of portfolios? Instead of limiting it to a static, all-purpose presentation, I suggest we approach it as something more dynamic, modular, and adaptable, a tool that could shift and transform depending on the situation. This is not just about creating more portfolios. It is about thinking differently about what a portfolio can be. Each portfolio could function like a carefully curated dialogue tailored for the specific context in which it will be received, whether that is a gallery, a curator, an institution, a collector, or even a collaborator.
